The Raghavan Narasimhan Iyer (1930–1995) was an Indian philosopher, Oxford scholar, and Theosophical teacher. Professor of Political Philosophy at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Iyer founded the Institute of World Culture in 1976 and edited the journal HERMES from 1975 to 1989. His writings synthesise Platonic philosophy, Eastern metaphysics, and the practical ethics of self-development.
